About Us

Tubby Isaacs was first established in 1919. For the last 90 years we have been purveyors of the finest quality jellied eels and seafoods. We are now into the fourth generation of this family run business. We offer either retail, wholesale or party and function services.

Back in the 1920's jellied eels were sold from our wooden barrows. Just before the war cockles, whelks, mussells and winkles were introduced. After the hard war years prawns and scampi became an option due to more modern methods of storage and transport.

Always on the lookout for new lines, in the 80's it was crabstix and ocean pinx, more recently octopus and peeled crayfish have been added to our already extensive seafood range.

To bring us bang up to date, we are now able to offer you the choice to see us online and benefit from our many years of expertise in the seafood market.

Our retail units are positioned at Goulston Street (Petticoat Lane Market) and Highstreet Walthamstow.
